the way Jim Pittman's did at TCU.

If he hires the next Buddy Ryan for DC next year and we are #1 in total defense and win the National Title, they'll still moan and complain and say it should have happened a year sooner and ,oh,by the way we shouldn't have lost to Tennessee in 2005 or Auburn in 2006.

I don't hate Miles, but I think he needs to get in gear with the DC stuff. I don't want the guy fired and am not even close to that level. However, I do think he has a chance to really put this program on the right path. I hope he takes advantage of it.

And there was also NO EXCUSE for not going undefeated last year as we were CLEARLY the best team in the country and have a roster full of NFL players and no player for any other team in the country could crack our 2 deep.

Oh yeah, and we should have blown the teams out in the games we did win.

and no matter how shitty the program becomes I-59 tiger will always come back with "I'm from Alabama and i remember when Curley Hallman was coach" in every other post because he has nothing else to say.

Excuse me dude.

But I think there's a little bit of wiggle room between finishing #1 in total defense and the product put on the field this year.

The moaning and crying on this board is completely justified.

I'm sure there is less crying on Vandy's board.

There was nothing to 'come back to'. Whatever Miles does will never be enough for some of you. Some of you have already made up your mind that he will not make the necessary decisions and corrections for 2009 and will not give him a shot at redemption. Its almost like some of you loathe him so much you want to see LSU do poorly in 2009 so he will either leave on his own or be run off.

there is a difference between hating Miles and not being blinded by BS.

some of the young people can not tell the difference between the two.

never surrender your brain.

Not me. That ship sailed with the defense this year.He did a 'lot of wrong'.But,that doesn't mean I think he should have a short leash in 2009. No corrections in 2009 will mean a short, real short leash in 2010,though.

Based purely on talent, there is no way Arkansas should have beaten LSU. This season, or last. Miles has clearly been outcoached by both Nutt and Petrino.

After the Raorback's penalty infused drive, Miles actually hugged the offenders as they came off of the field. Does anyone really think Saban or Petrino would have met the offender with a freakin' hug?

Being labeled a player's coach only encourages mistakes. Mile's biggest problem is his desire to be his players friend, instead of being their football coach.

That, and he isn't too bright offensively. Considering the level of talent LSU lands just because they're LSU, you guys can do much better when it comes to coaching.

And you "friends of Les", please don't bring up his national championship season. There are about fifteen coaches in college football that would have won the BSCCG with the amount of talent that team had.

And they would have likely done it without a loss to Arkansas. Hell. I hope Miles stays at LSU for the next twenty years.

I think people took ONE mistake the guy made and they are running with it! Holy shite -- the sky is falling!

I agree, it was hard watching LSU play this year, but no one took the heat more than the players and coaches. He made a bad decision on the promotion guys, cut him some slack. Give the guy a chance to right the ship with a DC hire!

So why the problem with folks questioning Les?

It's not even a question in my mind that Max would LOVE to see LSU do poorly next year just to see Les gone.

You have a warped sense of winning and under-estimate the talent in other programs. We won the NC last year and secondly, you don't realize that other teams such as FLA, SC, GA, TX, and OK have players as good as we do. GA has NEVER won a BCS Championship.

By the way, we had a drought of 45 years between 1958 and 2003 where we did NOT win a championship. I'll take the two losses last year for the BCS BALL.

Questioning is fine and good. I'm sure Pete Carroll gets questioned each year. Some LSU fans have never liked Miles and they are out in full force right now.

You can't see that ? That's not just 'questioning Miles'.
