Do you think that the lose will hurt our chances with some recruits or maybe make some commitments change their minds?

Depends. Some may look at it as an opportunity to see more playing time. Most of the spots are probably up for competition right now.

Personally, if they don't come to LSU simply because we are having a down year, then I don't want their ASSES at LSU anyway. I want players at LSU who WANT TO BE HERE. If recruits judge us by our 4 losses and go elsewhere, so be it.

I want players who genuinely want to put on the purple and gold each game, and recruits who see that LSU is having a down year that they can help the problems in their future at LSU.

I think some recruits may cast a critical eye at the coaching ability vs. Ws and Ls.

Dude, we are talking about 17 and 18 year old kids. They don't have a fricking clue about "coaching ability" at the college level. Give me a fricking break...

They are far more attuned than you give them credit for. IN any event, opposing coaches will be more than happy to point out the deficiencies in our defensive scheme.

I think some do...and other influences may be looking at the coaching ability for them.

Well, it is what it is (our defensive scheme this season). Like I said, we are talking about 17 and 18 year old kids here- I am an old timer, and no I wasn't recruited like crazy as an athlete, but I think most of us as 17 and 18 year old kids wanted to be with the ladies and wanted to do anything possible to have fun. I doubt that these kids sit around and watch game film criticizing our defensive scheme.

As far as opposing coaches- well, it is OUR coaches job to show them LSU. Not just the program, but the school and what it means to put that jersey on every week. No team out there is perfect, every team has at least one or two flaws.

No but the really talented will have sights set on that next level of play...in addition to the ladies thing.

I would think they would see it as a better chance for them to play early.
