Tonight is dinner night for the family. We have tried just about every chain restaurant in the Shreve/Bossier area. Can some of you recommend any new ones for us to try?

Thankds

1. What chain restaurants have you been to?
2. Why do you want to go to a chain restaurant?

Superior. The one in Shreveport puts the one in BR and NO to shame. Taco Mania blows by the way.

Don't know what your budget is, but here's a few:

1. Lil Italiano
2. Texas Street Tavern
3. Bistro Byronz
4. Superior Grill

Olive Street Bistro

+1

One of the very few good things about Shreveport is the selection of non-chain restaurants. Try Cush's Grocery on Ellerbe Road next time for a casual meal.

the real pickle has some mean sandwiches and po boys. try their homemade chips, it's amazing.

next to it is a little mexican/seafood place (i cant remember the name). it's like something you'd find on pacific coast of mexico. pretty good food there as well.

if you've never had herby k's, check that out. it's one of my favorite places to eat in the port. and if you have half a brain, stay out of bossier

I think it's called the Oyster House and yes, it is good.

Oyster Bar maybe...

Oh and on the bossier comment.

To me, two of the best restaurants in the area (L'Italiano's and Texas Street Tavern) are in Bossier.

This is very true. Still a little pricey.

Ernest's - higher end dining but good
The Cub - excellent
Lil Italiano - excellent
Strawns - meh just a nice diner
Notini's - never been
Papa's - Best hamburger i have ever had. and there are 3 different locations that are ran separately.( fight in the family or something) The one on Line before you get to downtown is the one im talking about. But it is only open for lunch.
Niki's -
Trejos - the best cheap mexican food you can get
Taco Mania -
Herby K's - nice i forgot about this one.

for the family i would go with pieworks, monjunis, trejos, imperial cathay, NEWKS, smitteys, tokyo or madison square garden, but you've probably eaten already thus making this post irrelevent.

I agree with all of these except smittey's... and i've never been there so i don't know.

I'd also add Zocolo (behind Outback). It's really good and not too pricey.
