I've got Dish...no complaints. I've got all of the HD channels. The only thing I could get different with Direct is the NFL package.

I've got DirecTV but only because everything else sucks in Oxford. Awesome here. Don't rip you off and you get tons of sports channels.

I don't have either of them, but if I was going to I would get DirecTV because of the NFL package.

I am a huge fan of DirecTV but mostly due to the NFL Sunday Ticket. I actually look forward to spending the money each year for it. You also can usually get a lot of free stuff with them if you call them ever so often.

If you're a cheap bastard like me, you would go with DISH b/c you can get a buttload of HD channels for $24.99/mo (not an intro rate).

Plus theres a ton of free goodies on top of that:
- hbo/starz free for 3 months (several in HD)
- cinemax free for 12 months (several in HD)

But that's me. It also depends on where you live..if DISH doesn't have your locals uplinked in HD, Direct might be a better choice. I know DISH is way behind in getting all the local markets up in HD.

Again, I wanted my ESPN channels in HD and I would have paid $25/mo just to get LSU games in HD this fall.
