Supposedly we interviewed him last year. And apparently he is a huge arse (rumors). If he is SO good, why did no other team besides ND even offer him a position?

I can say with a certain degree of confidence that if Tenuta was running this defense we would not be near last in the conference in almost every statistical category.

He was not hired supposedly because his personality did not mesh with others. Well what they have now, the "familiar" coaches, are not working either.

It's not about Tenuta, it's about not having on the job training at LSU, and hiring someone reputable and with experience.

I'll take Tenuta over this.

Pelini was as arrogant as they come. He's one of the most pompous SOBs and i cant think that Tenuta is much worse than him.

Miles gets paid to keep LSU on top not hire his buddies and cause the demise of the program

Not sure what he is making, but LSU would need top dollar to lure him over. ANYTHING would be better than the current incarnation of DC.

Is this like the whole "Y2K" thing? When exactly is this going to take place?

I am fairly certain LSU did not even give him (or an intermediary) a call. I believe the Tenuta rumors began with the Herbie Miles to Michigan story.

With that said, according to friends of the UNC football program, he is very aloof.

I'm a longtime Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams fan.

One of the man reasons the franchise fell so far from the Kurt Warner/Marshall Faulk "Greatest Show On Turf Days" was that GM Jay Zygmunt would change the draft board and draft a certain player higher simply because he got along with the player's agent.

Les Miles needs to understand the parallel if he's going to promote his longtime cronies just because he's comfortable with them and pass on a decorated defensive coordinator because he might be difficult to work with.

Les is the man.

But man, this is sure a lot like Dinardo/Tepper.

I do believe Les will do what needs to be done and fire Mallory/Peveto at the end of the season.
