exit Lanett/Valley exit
turn left on 15
in Plant City take a right on Hwy 29
right on Hwy 18, across the Hootch, and you'll run back into I-85

If it's still bad, take 431 South out of Opelika to Columbus Ga, then hop on I-185 which will take you back up to 85. Kind of out of the way, but if you are like me and don't want to wait, that is an option.
