I'd be thrilled to see such a series, however if it really is supposedly scheduled for 2010-2011, consider the following:

LSU already has 7 home and 5 road dates for both of the years 2010 and 2011. The Tulane road game for 2009 was pushed back to 2010. We already play them in NO in 2011. So unless LSU plans on having 6 home games in 2011, there is no way we will travel to Morgantown that year, barring some other "deal" with Tulane. Great decision that was to lock in a 10 year deal with the Wave.

We can play Tulane whenever we want wherever we want. That is not an issue. It'll be a done deal very soon.

Like I said, barring a deal with Tulane. We did sign a contract with them...if it was wherever we wanted, all 10 games would have been in BR.

It's practically a home game for us when we go down to NOLA and it helps out the city. I imagine that's a big reason why we do go down there.

But anyways, we've already switched up once them, we can do it again. It's really not a big deal.

Well I agree, but just saying, at some point, we're gonna have to play in NO two years in a row.

2008 - LSU
2009 - LSU
2010 - NO
2011 - LSU
2012 - NO

That's how it will be for the next 5 years. I'm not sure what our 2013 schedule will look like but I'm betting they're hoping on getting a home/home with a BCS team to start @ LSU in 2013 and we can go down to NO again in 2013.

Right I would think that's how it would play out. As long as they don't demand the ridiculous 8 home game thing, its not really a problem...in fact, the thing to have done would have been to go back down to NO this year.

That doesn't help the LSU area merchants in BR, so no it is not the same just cause the crowd partisonship and/or distance factor...similar for the fans, but not for LSU and its area businesses

? Playing half your games away and half your games home is the compromise you have to make if you want to play decent teams. It should be mathematically obvious.

Why? We could tell Tulane we wanted to play them on the Rec field every year and they would do it because we are the guys making them money.

So, from 1997-2000, we didn't play Tulane and then played them in '01, foolowd by no Greenies again from 2002-2005.

What was the reasoning and why did we stop/start again?

I don't mind playing Tulane every year because of traditional reasons, but can we please stop scheduling ULL and LA Tech?
