Look, I'm a Les Miles fan--I admire his recruiting and his gigantic testicles when it comes to big plays--but the fact is that he got outcoached Saturday night by Urban Meyer. Dickson said it himself that they faced things in the game that they had never seen before and that they weren't prepared for what Florida threw at them.

This one falls on the coaches. Hopefully ol' Les can get the guys moving in the right direction for next week.

I suppose the fact that UF is a very talented team that is more experienced than us at key positions could have played into it. I agree though that the coaches could have done better but it wasn't all their fault.

Uh, the fact that they didn't take anything from the Ole Miss game proves this.

Are you serious?

I don't know if it was Miles or one of his assistants, but somebody got outcoached Saturday night. Florida doesn't have a thirty point talent advantage.

Not sure if you have kids, but if you do, anytime another kid performs better than yours in the classroom, on the field of play, in life; do you think you have been outparented?

the players play the game.
If the coaches came out and said which players blew it, none of us would approve. Coaches bite the bullet and take the blame, but use some sense before blaming it all on coaches.

The Moo U and Florida games I have to say that Miles coaching has to be called into question. That being said, Meyer isn't a genius, in fact overrated IMO. Until the LSU game, he was being questioned by some UF fans. www.firecoachmeyer.com is a good example. Against LSU, UF didn't do anything they hadn't been doing. Ran it about the same, no difference in their schemes.

Miles has to know the issues with the defense. he can't be that stupid. I think his downfall will be his loyalty and innability to make the hard changes that have to be made. He had game film and two weeks to prepare for Florida.

We just need to hire Hal Mumme to coach the offense so we can outscore everybody.

I never blamed it all on the coaches. The players weren't the greatest either. But relating directly to my post and what Dickson said after the game, it shows that LSU was not as prepared as they should've been--especially with a week off.

That lack of preparation falls on the coaches. But no, it was not all their fault.

Dickson's an offensive player, so I'm sure he was referring to UF's defense.

I dunno, maybe he was saying that they prepared for the option but Florida's defense never ran it???

the defense was the key to the loss!!! Defensive coaching??? Maybe. DANNY MCCRAY??? Definitely!!! when he is on the field, we give up huge game-changing plays! went back and watched the replay of the game when I got home from Gainesville...even the commentators know that McCray is lacking in skill when they said, "Do you find it funny that the ball often follows McCray around???" That was there way of saying the kid is brutal and always gives up big plays! Why doesn't Miles see this? I don't care if he "practices well"...he sucks during gametime!!! I would much rather see Peterson or Chad Jones back there even if they blow a couple of coverages...and, I don't care that they aren't as big as McCray (at least they would be able to cover)

good scheme would never put McCray one on one with Harvin, with no safety backup. Don't put this on McCray. He didn't get burned on that play, This is a planning, preperation and implementation issue. That whole game was.

Peveto and Mallory have no fricking business being DEF COORD.

They've been outcoached for most of the games this year and Florida just raped them

It's more complicated than that.

And if you chalk up the loss to the coaches, do you also chalk up the win to the coaches? When we throttled VT, did Les outcoach Beamer?

Be fair. Miles is doing a great job. It was one game. This is the same style defense that shut down Beanie Wells.

BayouBlitz... I know it's more complicated than that, and, like I said, I'm a fan of Miles. However, it's hard to argue that the Tigers were "prepared to play" last Saturday night.
