LaFell referred to Baker by this nickname in his interview today...I guess that's his nick on the team. It's a pretty damn good one too.

I thought Cutrera was going to be the starter.

I dont know about Cutrera, but Baker will not be watching on the sidelines next year. I would bet lots of money on that.

To be perfectly honest, I envision Riley moving to the inside. The guy is big and can cover alot of ground. And Baker and Shepard will be our outside backers. The only thing stopping this is if Riley cant handle the calls at mlb.

I doubt he starts

Riley and Sheppard return.

Cutrera has played a lot of ball.

If they started Luke Sanders for 2 years, Cutrera wil start no doubt.

Exactly what I'm thinking.

SLB Riley
MLB Cutrera
WLB Sheppard

Very average ball for sure...but like you said, Sanders started and he was below average. I just think Baker is really really special...hate to see him on the sidelines.

If he's above average, it's the most unimpressive above average Ive ever seen. And oh btw...blow me.

Nah an unimpressive above avg considering you were born in 64 and have watched football for a long time.

Cutera makes great reads, shows above avg speed and has hit a few people in his time here.

He just overpursues due to his agressiveness. I still think he can be an All-SEC MLB before he graduates.

So you didnt have any problems with me saying Sanders was below average, but saying Cutrera is average is something horrific. He doesnt make "great" reads. He is out of position more often than you think. He misses tackles. He is BELOW average in pass coverage. He is just average...not bad..just average.

And if you think he will be an All-SEC MLB EVER EVER EVER...than you are so damn drunk that you should be in a hospital.

He is out of position because he has read and pursued the ball to the point of putting himself out of position. Its called overpursuing. An easily corrected trait of a LB.

Secondly, he misses alot of tackles BECAUSE HE OVERPURSUES.

When he does find the right spot he comes with authority. Rewatch MSU again and see who was making plays on the field.

Lastly, pass coverage only comes with experience and he is probably better at it than James Laurinatis whom we abused last year and he won the award for best LB in the country.
