One of my boys bought one. Looks like a large flat ZIPPO lighter. It works like an ember in a confined space fed by the lighter fluid in a soaked pad ala: cig lighter. There are no flames. It is extremely warm and stays that way for 6-12 hours. Works great.

Didn't know they still made those. Dad had one in the bottom of his gun cabinet when I was a kid. No telling how old it was.

Keep going back and forth on buying a couple of these only concern is if they smell when lit.

Had one many years ago. Problem with them was if you ever over filled it, it would leak in your pocket. Zippo fluid will burn the shite out of your skin were it got on.

He lights his at home. He wipes it down and places it in the required padded bag and he keeps it in his waist pack hand pouch. It works for him. Try one out he paid $17 for his.

Be careful not to overfill and measure what you put in to be consistent. :)

My dad had some of those when I was a kid. We used them some, but they smell like lighter fluid.
