If I gave you $3500 and told you to get a ZTR mower with at least a 48" cutting deck, what would you suggest? Going tomorrow and I've done a little research, but want some opinions. TIA.

I don't know much about residential ZTRs but I had a Toro and Scag commercial and I loved them. I would pick some of the big name brands that manufacture good commercial mowers and look at their residential lines. Same name just not as heavy duty.

I would not buy from a big box store (Lowes, Home Depot, ect). Also keep in mind, the HP ratings are not the same across different brands. Similar, but not the same.

Yea I'm not going to Lowes or HD. Lookin at a Husqy or Exmark. Not going for the commercial grades, don't have that kind of coin for it.

I don't believe anyone in my area sells the hustler. Got a Husqy dealer just north of me and an Exmark and Cub Cadet dealer in bunkie. Want someone who can service and do the warranty work nearby.

Negative. Pretty even yard. Got a bayou on one side, but ie already stuck a ZTR on it (my buddy's mower) to see if it would have problems, works just fine.

They are all going to be pretty much the same. All will be dual hydro drives and have stamped decks. I did alot of research and ending up going with Toro cause it got better ratings in consumer reports and it uses commerical grade front caster wheels.

The wife just bought a Husquarna, 48" cut for around 2800$ it looks to be well built, grease cirts on all bushings, This is it's first year but no complaints so far.

Cub cadets for sale all over used. Not good IMO. Ex mark or badboy mowers. I have the ex mark but a friend has a bad boy. Its nice, heavy but solid.
