what kind of land and where is your scope of area?

In LA, I would buy somewhere in NELA.
In Tx, I would buy somewhere not too far from Toledo Bend. Woods just like LA like I'm used to and great fishing.

Idaho or Wyoming would be my go to. I could spend my life in the Snake River Valley.

100 in Va/WV, 100 in S.La, 100 in montana and then i'd have to evaluate things further

Western Idaho. Cheap land so you get more of it. Lots of places to catch salmon and steelhead. Beaucoup pheasant, ducks, elk, mule deer, etc. And they've still got that old west individualist mentality.

You could get between 3 and 400 acres with that in Woodville. I'd never buy land there though. Better hope you never need their fire department. 3 houses burned last year because they didn't have enough money to put diesel in their fire trucks

It was a joke until I thought about it. If I were in my current living conditions, I would buy some property that joins us. Don't get me wrong, my first choice would have been out west or rental property on the coast like someone mentioned, but that takes travel time. Woodville is a short haul and the hunting is pretty solid in all aspects. I didn't know about the lack of funding for diesel .
