You have 11k to spend on a used aluminum CC boat, what are you doing with it?

Yea you are probably better off saving up some more money to increase your budget. 11k is kind of low for a CC they are just expensive right now.

Yup, OP, save another $8-10k and get an xpress H18-20B or a 18' glass boat. You will regret anything less in the SELA marsh on any day over 0-5 mph winds. Been there done that in an HD18 boat.

I've found many a glass bay boat for 15k. not so many xpress boats.
OP, save your income taxes one more year.

Again, OP is limited by 11k. Someone's 3/16" thick custom hanko hull will not be had for cheap.

I don't particularly want glass. I like the idea of being able to hit it with the hose and put it up. Not income taxes either, I'm an OT poor.

Unless you come across a great deal, 11k will only get you a boat that's not made for open bays/marsh and an old 2 stroke motor/boat.
I know a member here that found an 18' flats boat (fiberglass CC) for under 11k. Nice older hull with a 2 stroke 90 Yamaha.
You will probably have to be pretty open to what you want in a boat for that price range

Searched for a long time for a boat in that price range. Very tough. It's either shitty, or priced well above that.

In regards to getting aluminum so you can just hit it with a hose, I kept my fiberglass boat spotless pretty easily. Stop at the carwash on the way home. Soapy pressure wash the inside, knock the scum line off with a brush, and rinse with liquid wax. Waxed the boat twice a year and it stayed pristine.

Some cool little skiffs/flat boats can be had in that range, but same as the aluminum hulls, they might not be in the best shape. I want to say around 15k is where you start to see some really good options (although I was looking for 4 strokes at the time so 2 strokes may have better deals).
