I have been paying Scott's (now trugreen) to destroy my yard. I have recently fired them and need some help getting my yard back to glory. Below are some of the pics and I want it thick again. Thanks.

Thanks.

I'd start with a soil sample to see what you need to add.

My back yard looks great in spots where my dog pees. So, maybe I need some nitrogen.

You can pick up a box from Chastant's for the LSU soil lab. It has instructions and bags for the soil. Then you bring it to the post office and mail it off with payment.

Same boat as me. If you want something done right end up having to do it yourself. I had Scott's when I graded yard after cutting trees and dropped zenith zoysia sod. Was niCe for a year. True green bought them and they kept collecting a paycheck while my yard started getting patchy. Fired them Andy got some other company and its worse than its ever been. I've got to thatch it, aerate, and drop a lot of seeds down. You may do the same. But a soil sample is a start. I dropped organic and topsoil down before placing the sod so I should Be ok but not sure about you. You could have the grubs in your soil eating the roots....

looks like Bermuda, go get some dimension pre emergent, put it out now,MSM or celsius for buttonweed, weed free zone, 24d msma won't harm the bermuda I bought some dismiss for green Killinga and sedgehammer for all your sedges. be careful with the 24d, it'getting a little to warm to use it. It will set your bermuda back put out some 33-0-0, bermuda loves nitrogen, I'm getting ready to hit mine with milorgonite and 33-0-0. Milorganite will green it up. screw true green, send me your Phone # The msma will kill all the st aug. runners you have

The yard is St. Aug. The bermuda has invaded it. That is why I want it thick again so it will choke out the bermuda.

put prem down and fertilize the shite out of it, raise the cut on your mower let it get thick that will help choke out some of the weeds, pre m in the fall and spring kill the weeds you got with a post emergent Atrazine is good for St augyou can still use celcius or MSM for buttonweed get some sedghammer for allyour sedges

Summer Insect and Weed Control 66112 09/15/16

These are the last few treatments they have done. Mostly it looks like weed control but no fertilizer.

Yea it doesnt look like they put any down since october. Take a look at the new round up...I havent tried it yet but it says it does yellow nut sage among other things. Might have to de thatch, airiate, fertalize, and cut it high.

mine too, but when it comes back it is the greenest little spots in my yard.

On that note, my St. Aug is looking better than it has in years. What should I do to it right now to make certain that it continues thru early summer.

Just my front yard, it is small and for show. The back is St Aug, but it is for baseball, golf, and shooting each other with nerf guns all day.

It doesn't grow enough to cut it high. It would take months for it to grow up to a 4 inch cut. Who can I call to do a de-thatching and aerate? Should I spread some fertilizer?
