I absolutely hate this and call out friends regularly. I don't care if it degrades in a few years. I don't care if it's a drop in the bucket. Leave nature as close to natural as possible. That will always be my motto.

Really strikes when I go bow fishing and see just how much man made crap is in the marsh. Whether it's cans, plastic bottles, even wood. I'd much rather it not be there if it's not necessary. So if it's as simple as putting it in a bucket or bag compared to lazily throwing it overboard, I find it unacceptable to throw overboard.

Sometimes after a long day of snapper fishing, the radio is jamming your favorite ace of base song, the wind is blowing in your hair, got your shirt off gettin that free son. I may rip a bud heavy can up, toss it in the water. Then Tell ya bro to throw yourself another brew, flip that cassette over to side 2, and cruise into the sunset.
