It's been a busy 4 months and I haven't been able to fish. Gonna head somewhere in the morning, though. Any of the OB yakkers interested in meeting up to fish or have any suggestions where I might have some luck? Right now I'm thinking about trying either Golden Meadow or Leeville.

Either location will have fish but all the recent flurry of cold fronts and tides have allowed those fish to gorge. It's also slack tide with little wind. I've fished GM past two weekends. Last weekend was on fire but this weekend not so much but I did find trout.

I'll be in Delacroix in the morning with my girlfriends little brother in tow, never been there before though so I'll be winging it.

Fished Leeville and Golden Meadow today and didn't do very well at all. Zero reds and a handful of trout around 14".

Fished three days out of Grand Isle last week. Put in off Highway 1 at bayou Laurier. Fished the marsh south of the highway. Caught limit of Reds all three days. Fished with live coccahos and vudo shrimp.

I wound up going out of BSM. 5 keeper trout, 6 or 7 throwbacks and 2 nice reds.

As I was pulling up one of the older men was telling me how he can't understand how someone with a truck like that can only afford a fancy pirogue

just be glad you didn't launch about 6. it was a clusterfrick. they had like 6 boats in the hole waiting for people and every slip was taken up. they also had like 3 trucks just randomly parked unloading beer into the boats in the hole.

when we finally launched, I had someone bitching at me in a big glass bay boat because I pushed off them while they had all 24 feet of that boat tied off with 3 ropes in the middle.

Thank God they are making the shrimp and crab boats park out off the hole.

They used to always have one or two beached up pretty close and one or two by the launch.

For the majority of the summer there would be 7-8 parked there blocking everything. They used the area to work on the boats, load and unload, etc and parked 24/7. A local told me it got to the point where one would sink/swamp every week and they had to run them off due to liability of damage to pumping station outlets.
