Anybody with any experience?
When do the specks start running? anyone have any experience fishing the Lakefront airport, NO East area?
Got a sailboat in the SS Harbor and a yack (and/or dinghy) just dying to get some fishing use.

I'm interested as well. I'm not far from pontch and need a spot that consistently produces. I usually go to biloxi and just get out on the water and drink beer because the fish don't bite

Make sure there is little to no wind if you plan on going out a little ways. It can get rough quick out there for a yak

Specks will be returning back to the Tressels in late September /October. Easy fishing and a short paddle if you put in at the hwy 11 public launch if you are fishing the north end.

Irish Bayou is a great spot, lots of redfish on shore of the Lake on either side of I-10 and you can fish the trestle on the south side for trout. I fish that area with my boat and catch fish while watching twenty boats on the trestle catch nothing. Also on Chef pass side of Irish Bayou there are rocks armoring the shoreline, fish the breaks and bayou openings for redfish. This time of year artificials work great.
