Worst experience with a guide?

I have only been with 2 different guides and both were in Corpus fishing Baffin Bay.
The guide offers us his condo to stay while there. Me and my friend are thinking how great it's going to be staying in a condo on S. Padre island. We get there and see all theses signs saying "welcome winter texans". Turns out nobody there is under 70. It was a one room unit with a bed and two couches. My dad takes the bed while my friend and I each take a couch. Mine was more of a loveseat and I had my legs hanging off at the knees. Anyway we are in a good mood bc we are in the trophy trout capital and shrug off the condo.
Next morning we wake up early and excited. Get to the boat and see an extra person. The guide doesn't even own a boat and he is taking the boat owner with us. I had researched all the areas before going and have a good idea of where we are while making the ride to Baffin. We start fishing no where near the bay and catch one fish the entire day. The guide also had 2 piece poles. Trip ends and we are pissed. The guy with me and my dad owns a marina and is serious about fishing just like we were. My dad spends the rest of the night trying to jeep us positive since we have another trip in the morning.
Next morning we meet the guide at the marina. He calls my dad off to the side to tell him he has no money for gas. My dad pays for the fuel and tells Jeremy and I to calm down we are going to catch some big trout. We are fishing hard and all of a sudden Jeremy and I see the guide open the ice chest and starts eating one of our sandwiches and drinking our beer. Once again my dad calms us down bc we were ready to throw him in. We caught 2 trout. 3 for both days and the biggest was 14". My dad not only paid for the fuel but also $900 for 2 days fishing. Worst two days I've ever had fishing.
Went back 3 mos later with a new guide and caught huge trout.
I know csb tl;dr
Top that.

$400 for 8 hours of nearshore fishing in Florida. We went out about 5 miles in huge seas in the guide's tiny boat, caught 1 bluefish in like 5 hours. I was pretty sea sick (never happens), so we tried some inshore, no bites. He had a no fish, no pay policy, but I caught one bluefish. that blew.

My buddy set us up with a guide and agreed on price before we go. We get there and catch a lot of fish but no big ones just eating fish. We pay the guy what we agreed on and gave him a tip. A few days later I get a call from my buddy asking how much we paid the guide. I told what we agreed on and gave him a tip. Well the guide was fishing out of a marina and he had to give that guy a share of his trips and he told him we paid him lass than what we did. At first it made me and my brother look like crap to my buddy becuase he got us a deal on the trip to begin with.

Ever fish out of Dularge? Just ask Jeremy about his trip to Baffin. I left some stuff out. The 2 piece rods and no trout baits was the ultimate.

I really liked the no gas money part.

My dad tried to hide that from us but when I went inside and saw him paying I was like WTF man. He never let the guide get the best of him though. He kept poaitve until our trip a few months later. We had to meet up with the first guide so my dad could get his jacket he had left. It was foggy and my dad backed into a concrete wall with the rental. Another $800

Not as bad as yalls but we left with a guide out of louisiana sportsman one day. Don't remember his name but his boat did 15 kts at the most. Took us over an hour to get to timbalier. Go to our first spot Start catching the trout pretty good and then one of my buddies line rips off and pops. Guide says "well sharks are here time to move spots". Next spot was back to the marina. It was a trip paid for by some of my buddies' dad's customers and 2 of them were with us so we couldn't make a big deal out of it.

Y'all are making me feel better
On my next Baffin trip the new guide started trying to give my dad and I pointers. I thought really we have calcuttas and gloomis rods. When we found fish we each catching 5 to his 1. We had white sand eels which was a brand be bait. My dad gave him a few and he started killing them also. He was an academy rep and went and got every sand eel bait they had that night.
I caught a 5.5 lb and my dad caught a 6.5 lb trout. Biggest trout I've ever seen.

One time we caught our limit of 100 trout by 9 am....but the guide didn't want to go catch redfish after
JK i haven't been on enough guided trips to get a bad one. Never have had great trips but all fair for the price

About 10 years ago, we got talked into going on a guided trip by a friend of mine out of coco marina. We fished all day and caught 4 specks. I thought we would get a discount after we caught only 4 13" specks. No such luck. It was a $500 mistake.

After fishing Texas I learned nothing compares to La fishing so with that said catching 4 trout in La is way worse than our 2 days in Texas.
Beam- that sucks catching all those fish so early

It was painful because he obviously had no idea what he was doing, but went with a few different guides that trip and they were all outstanding, so it wasn't too bad. LA fishing>everywhere else

Not nearly as bad as yours but I still left a bit aggravated...
Took my son fishing out of Gulf Shores last summer on an 8 hr. charter. The captain and mate were decent enough, but it took us 2 hours to get out about 22 miles. For the next 3 hours we tried bottom fishing for mangrove snapper and grouper without much success. We caught some, but they were few and far between; we kept moving spots, but the captain just couldn't find them.
Then we went after the big snapper, which redeemed the trip a bit. 12 10+lb snapper were boated within 20 minutes and we all got a nice adrenaline rush! And then it was over, and it took us another 2.5 hours to get back to the marina.
All in all, not a horrible trip, but I felt that if the captain hadn't been so concerned about saving fuel, we would have had more time with the lines in the water and that was the whole reason I went for an 8hr rather than a 6 or 4.

It involved a guided duck hunt on a cold day, three layers of clothes and a case of the runs. Wasn't the guide's fault, but it was my worst experience and he was there
