Don't know why they waited four paragraphs to call it vibrio. People in south LA should be pretty familiar with these stories by now.

Step A can be flesh eating .Never heard of Vibrio doing that . Vibrio is some bad sheet. My son sliced his leg open on an oyster shell wade fishing in South Padre . It was a messed deal . After the 1 hour drive to an ER and all the drama of washing the 8 inch gash out ,then stitches . It was a battle for all of us . I was scared to death for the infection risk . I knew about Vibrio and how quick it can attack the organs . IV Rocephin followed by a round of Cipro and he healed beautifully . I spent several weeks worried about it .

Without fail, something happens either Memorial Day or 4th of July every year for that island.

Happy your son healed up. I'd have been worried sick about the Cipro. That shite destroys people.

One pill had me "sick" for 8 months.

Yep, I personally know an older guy who lost an arm to vibrio.

shite scares me, because I've always got cuts on my hands from doing shite around the house.

It shouldn't. It's actually quite rare, but it makes for a good news story.

True, compared to the bazillion people that get into the same waters as those that contract the infection. It usually happens to those with comprised imune systems.

I'm like assuming vibrio is why she like sounds like she's like on vicodin.
