I'm gonna take a shot on Thursday. Anyone done anything down there lately? Besides the guides on LASM?

I'll be in Cocodrie on Friday. Thinking about heading south to see if things are turning on around the islands

I'll have a report for you. May also chase some mangroves if it is calm. Where can I get some pogies between BR and Dulac?

Not sure the route you take, but I try and get mine from Manchac on I-55. The problem is that you have to get there before they close.
If that doesn't work, the bait house in Chauvin usually has them.
with that being said... the mangroves love to eat live bait - croakers, cocahoes, finger mullet.

$25/box is insurance against my cast netting skills and the time I usually have to find them.

There is no guarantee that you can easily find them right now. I'd definitely have some frozen on board. And maybe some minnows for good measure.
MB, it looks like a late year on the coast by us. Got a little spoiled last year. Hopefully the billions of 11 inch pecker trout got a little bigger. If so it should be a good summer.

Looks like straight out of wine island pass it gets to 50' at about 12 miles. Straight out of Fourchon it hits 50' at 7.5 miles.

that's probably more like it. If you are looking for 80+ depth, you may have to go 15+ miles
