Will most scopes/AR accesories come with the necessary tools to connect them to the gun? Buddy on mine is saying I will need to buy rings/clamps in addition to a scope to attach it. Is he being a ra-tard?

So I will need to purchase something to attach the accessories to the gun, correct?

After re-reading, most accessories like lights, and bi-pods will come with weaver rail attachments.

The scope... not so much. If you are talking about a true "scope" and not like a sight. I've had to buy rings for every scope I've ever bought.

Got a question

I have an okay scope that came on a .177 crossman air rifle from a while back. Do clamps typically fit all rails? I'm not at home by my guns to see at the moment. Was just curious in the meantime

Air gun/.22 is like a 3/8ths dovetail rail and AR uses weaver style rails, two totally different systems.

The scope itself is interchangeable but you need different rings for each set up.

Yep^^^.

I've never seen a scope ever come with a set of rings unless they specify, and if they do come with them they're usually shite.

I like my Burris PEPR rings for my AR. It stands for "perfect eye position ready" and seems to act as such. I hardly have to change anything when I line up my cheek weld. It also has rails on the tops and gives you the option of adding a reflex sight if you want it for quick-acquisition.
