Was watching this video LINK of fire ants in the SC flooding. With the Katrina flooding and now this disaster in South Carolina, I was curious to the impact on wildlife in a flood like this. I would be very concerned that rattlesnakes, water moccasins, fire ants and all kinds of critters would become a dangerous problem? Yall have experienced floods like this. Did you have an invasion of wildlife to your higher ground homes and property?

You are in at least, your 50's, if I'm not mistaken, correct? I do have a reason for asking.

I used to have nightmares as a kid about the floats of fire ants I saw during floods.

The river floods areas around here every year. Same thing happens. Coons get on the porch of the camp to escape water and eventually break in. They chew the plastic tops off whiskey bottles and get drunk. then they shite mud water all over the camp

Growing up in BR off of Tiger Bend Road we had some floods when I was in HS ('80's timeframe for those who remember). Ant islands were pretty common when the water topped the roads and I remember a couple of "lessons learned" because I got too close

Wildlife was everywhere!
