My offer still stands. There is nothing better in life to spend time hunting with a young one. God, I miss my Dad.

Now, my kids are taking Dad hunting. Guess it's pay back time.

This weekend, I most likely will just hunt off the patio. Should be able to get a easy limit.

I sure hope you have better luck than I did. I said I'd dove hunt off of my patio because every time I opened the door, at least 10 would be hanging out in my yard. Opening day came around and there wasn't a dove to be seen

That's mighty thoughtful of you fish. Might take you up on the offer in a few years. I don't think the youngin would like trecking through the mess of woods/swamp I've got. She's only 1 so it'll be a while can't wait until she gets to hang out with dad in the woods.

Yeah this will probably be the last year I make my son (12, almost 13) stay with me while hunting. I'll probably cut him loose next year. Maybe even get him his own blind.

Can i bring buck shot in a WMA (sherburne) this weekend, or is that not allowed bc it is only bow season?

Was gonna bring some in case i ran up on some pigs.

Not no, but HELL NO! I had to shoot a pig in the dark two years ago 5' from me in the teal season. Call a buddy that is a green jean and he told me I was ok. Killed that bitch. It was the pig or me and I left it to the gators.

Look, my take is that I would love to see more kids in the woods then on the streets. That is why I offer for the hunt. If any of y'all need me to take your kid hunting, I will. I have one more year before my grandson will be ready, but I will have him in the woods this year just for the hell of it. He is 5 and he will have his Redrider.

So it isnt ok to bring buck shot? What did you shoot pig with? Im guessing NOT with buck shot, if your green buddy said you were ok.

From my interpretation of the hunting regulations, NO, you can not bring buck shot with you. I think that would be a big mistake.

Basically hunting hogs is a privilege year round, but the caveat is you can only shoot a hog on a WMA with whatever ammo/firearm is legal at that time. I'd say your best bet is bringing a .22 WMR rifle (which is legal to shoot a squirrel with). Or if you are ballsy, putting a couple buck shot in your boot.
