but I have fallen into your trap many times.
It's not a trap dummy. You tried to be a know it all student, and you failed. It's OK, we all did it at some point.
There is no troll here.

The progression I saw was:
Alx
jorconalx
Sonoma
Alx's initial post was about me. If I'm barking up the wrong tree, I rescind my offer

Just for the record, f=ma
But I'm better at chemistry than physics so I'll leave it at that

frick, I just explained my problem with his theory and terminology. Wait, is this another trap?
FML, I give up on this thread. Hopefully we can at least agree that the physics behind this situation is complicated

And you completely ignored the reasoning behind why his methods work. You just assume everything is equal for both vehicles, and that's why you think the bigger truck would do better. That's not reality though, that's just theory.

Not on my end, but I'm beginning to think it is on yours.

Right, which is why I said you were getting schooled even with the incorrect force equation.

Never tried it myself, do you fillet them? Or just scale, gut and fry them whole? One day I'll keep some to try.
Filet. It depends on size really. If it's too small to filet, it's bait. There is never a good reason to throw back a croaker.

Haha whoa now, I was talking about the kid in the pic...slow down bud. By the look of his face, he was proud of what he had done.
You engineer guys are fiesty lil fellas

Damn engineers over-analyzing the sitch.

At lest they let us know they were engineers.

Do engineers ever not let you know they're engineers?
Posted on 6/30/15 at 3:07 pm to YOURADHERE
Hell, they let you know when they are engineering STUDENTS!

So much jelly in that picture. I'd love to know what a "non-engineering method" is.

To be fair, every method uses engineering whether you think of it that way or not

I did something similar back in the spring of 1976 while a freshman at Southeastern. We were having a party on Cherokee beach, (Tangipahoa River) outside of Hammond. I drove my truck to the sandbar and got it stuck. I said..."no problem, we'll get it out tomorrow, let's party". Well a little later it rained and the party was a wash. It continued to rain and rain and rain. Hammond was flooded as was Baton Rouge. The river rose and my truck was completely submerged, (except the top of my camper) for a couple of days. The next day Bob Breck, (channel 4 in NOLA) was reporting live from the river on ABC Good Morning America. My parents, (while eating breakfast) saw the truck camper in the background identified by a bumper sticker, "a pinch is all it takes" prominently displayed above the camper door. Needless to say they were not to happy. I had to wait till the river crested and receded, (about a week as I recall) and tow that shite out with a tractor. We drained the oil a few times and it started and ran. The stereo even worked, but the lights were somewhat intermittent so it was not too good to drive at night.
THis is gold

So, did we ever figure out if the ranger or the series of diesels was more unsuccessful at pulling out ol boy with the neckbeard's truck? If so can one of y'all engineers or engineering students write me out a detailed SOP to follow step by step. I'm just a dumb operator...
