Got it narrowed down to two options. Both are nearly identical price:

A-2010 F150 FX4 with 59k miles. 5.4L V8

B-2010 F150 King Ranch with 68k miles. Same 5.4L V8

Basically the only difference on the interior besides color is the saddle leather seats in the KR vs regular leather seats in the FX4. Rest of interior is nearly identical option package --- sunroof / in dash navigation / dual climate control / heated seats

FX4 has clean carfax report with 2 owners

KR has one owner carfax with one accident report (minor fender damage)

Both are very clean with no paint issues. I'm torn on which to get

Did the previous owner take care of the KR leather, it has it already started to get really bad?

The KR leather looks to be in good shape for a 5 year old vehicle. Nothing jumped out at me as being wrong with it

I'd go for the one owner personally

Out of those two, the KR.

I would really try to find a 2011 5.0 in your price range though. The 2011 3.5's had a few problems but the 5.0 is rock solid. If you can swing it, the 2012 3.5's are great too.

A.

Carfax isn't too trustworthy, honestly. It is probably accurate in terms of the fact that there was an accident, but it may misrepresent the severity of the accident.

shite, I read that backwards. Get the Fx4. Same package, less miles, no brainer.

Yeah, AYC brings up a good point re two owners, but a hit on CArfax showing a wreck would make most buyers more nervous.

Two owners right before the new engines came out does not concern me. If someone bought a fully loaded Fx4 and then wanted a 3.5 the next year, he probably got it. What if the owner got deployed and just sold the truck as to not store it? Again, Fx4.

The first owner of the FX4 only had it for about 8 months and it looks like it ended up back at the original dealers lot. This was in Texas. According to the dealer where the truck is now, the second owner was a lawyer who just traded it in on a new vehicle and claims he never took it off the road.

I'm leaning to that one right now

what is your use and need? How long do you plan on keeping it?

IF there is not a reason driving you to the FX4 then KR is very nice

I don't care for the engine-

If both are 4x4, besides the shocks, skid plates, and gears, what advantages does the KR have. Its been wrecked and has more miles.

Well there were some bad leather reports coming out of a few years of the kr. I'd find out what year tricks had the bad leather and make sure that's not one

I've none of those particular ones.

My wife asks me why I don't go buy a "new truck".

I just haven't run across one that seems much better than my very paid for, problem free 07 Duramax. Nicer looking? yes. Better? dunno

but I do have leather and heated seats!
