Those were some stud amberjacks in the video. Four outboards just seems like a pain in the arse mechanically. If I could justify the $$$ they why not I guess.

Is this not the same invincible that always sits right in front of the launch across from Buggy's house? I think that one had trips, but maybe upgraded to new motors?

I know what boat you are talking about. That one does have trips. It's been sitting there all summer it seems.

The total cost over the time you own a 50'+ sportfisher will dwarf what a big center console costs to own and run. It is absurdly expensive to own a sportfisher.

WAY more upkeep. Sportfishers are more expensive in the long run

We're talking about a $600k boat and you two are talking about something being to expensive?

Yea sure are. Just because someone can afford $600k for a boat doesn't mean they could afford $5k-$10k per month to maintain a sportfisher. See how it could be to expensive for someone.

A lot more people on this planet can afford a 600K CC, big sportfishers are reserved for the wealthiest of the wealthy.

Take this boat for example, one of the motors, one has almost 4 times the horsepower of that invinsible. Add to the fact she holds almost 6,200 gallons of fuel you would only have to fill her up about 25 times to hit the 600K mark.

Don't get me wrong, but that just sounds absurd...

If you can afford a $600k boat talking about something being too expensive sounds absurd. $600k for something that is for entertainment only is a LOT of money IMO. As I said in my original statement, buying a used sportfisher for around the same price or even cheaper would provide more comfort for fishing and family. I know you can buy a 40-50 used Bertram or Hatteras for less, if you do routine maintenance on those diesels you can make them last for years and years... 60' hatteras for less than $400K

My point is I've been offshore in a 40' center console Scarab and a 42' center console Yellowfin, and they were both fun to run around in but not to fish in. A 46' Bertram while very slow compared to both of those is WAY more comfortable to me. I recognize the maintenance on the 2 diesels would be higher and fuel would be higher, but you'd be way more comfortable. I can't afford a $40k boat much less $600k so it's just my opinion.

Thanks. I guess I didn't figure there would be anyone that would spend $600friggenk for a boat and then whine about $4 or $5k for diesel.

Saw a Freeman 37VH with twin 7s in Orange Beach a month or so ago. Was a rough day (real life 3s and 4s) and they guy had to be north of 50 knots running through it like it wasn't there. It was actually pretty amazing.

Same day we saw a 42' Yellowfin hauling arse as well...beautiful boat, upper station and all.

I have to say the Freeman was more impressive in person though.

As to the boat in the OP...amazing!

It's about speed for me, I can cover way more ground on a day trip or overnighter in a CC.

I'll worry about comfort when I'm older, right now I just want to fill the fish boxes

That boat was at our shop recently. Notice the stickers on the engines? It was in for 100 hour engine maintainence, some Garmin upgrades, and a small punch list from Invincible. I put some pictures and video of it on our Facebook page if you want to go check it out. It is absolutely an amazing machine! We test ran it with 7 people on the boat on False River and reached almost 80mph. That was with a bent blade on one of the props too.

Just an FYI, that's only $100k worth of engines. They also have 5 years of available warranty.
