I have not been out there in 15+ years. Where is a good place to launch?

Please forgive my intrusion, but do any of y'all that are familiar with Delacroix remember a Sal Calderone that ran the End of the World gas station/marina back in the 60's and 70's? He was my uncle and died sometime in the late 70's. I was too young to know much about him.

Sweetwater. I only launch there bc I hate the folks that run the other launch. They propagate the local yocal mentality that exists down there. Also, if sweetwater is out of shrimp the old lady at the other launch won't sell them to you.

You should pull up to Serigne's and ask Lionel to get the hoist working for you. Either that or ask Lionel to sell you some live shrimp and tell him you're going to launch at Sweetwater. If you do any of the above, so please record the conversation and post it here.

Edit: Holy shite I haven't fished down there in years so I googled if Serigne still owned it. For real?

They call the average bay boat customer from the "City," "Chivos." They fed themselves via people they hated while fighting tooth and nail against the gill net ban in the 80's. All of the Isleanos' properties are now worth more than they'd ever dream about but the contempt remains.

Everyone at sweetwater is friendly. Which is why I avoid Serignes like the plague
