I plan on going to lake Concordia in the near future to Bass fish but I am getting conflicting information on the condition of the bass population.

quote:

In one 2005 bass tournament on Concordia, the winner landed four bass weighing more than 38 pounds for a 9 1/2-pound average, Hickman said. In another tournament, the five fish making up the winning stringer weighed 37 pounds. The second place stringer weighed about 33 pounds with the third-place team catching 27 pounds.

April,2011-Lake Concordia's bass population has been on a downward spiral for over a decade

Could the OBers who know first hand what the bass fishing is like give me some input. I'm not asking for spots or baits as much as what to expect for a day on the water.

I like lake Concordia and it still has plenty of fish . Im not real sure of catching a 9 and half pound average out of there but 20 pounds on five fish is very doable . IMO very comparable with what you would expect to catch at bruin

Good I was hoping I wasn't heading into a dead zone after reading about dropping slot limits and droughts and bass viruses it wasn't looking promising.

We went to St. John last year and stayed at Neely's. Had fun cranking around the piers. If Concordia is better than that then we'll have a good time.
