What's the typical % cut for the property owner of a dirt/sand/gravel pit

It will be in the range of 300,000-450,000 cubic yards of materials. I haven't purchased the property yet, just trying to figure out what's typical if someone else does all the mining.

If it has the proper P.I. for pad/road construction, highway contractors I have been involved with pay around fifty cents/CY for that amount (raw material only - they load and haul). If selling to individuals you can get 2.00 for smaller amounts, but that's loaded on their truck.

See, that seems cheap to me. I know of someone who owns a gravel pit and they have gotten 2.00/CY regardless of how much is purchased. That is for good clay gravel used for road bases. They are getting .50/CY for dirt.
