It would need to be the round up brush and vine.

Weedeater if you're not allergic.

If you are, 2-4D will kill it.

Gloves, long sleeves and a small hand shovel. They have very long underground vines that you must pull out of the ground. Even if you poison it, the dead vines and leaves can frick you up.

It's best to dig up the small plants and pull all the roots out and dispose of them. Otherwise they will likely come back.

After you did them up, wash all tools and clothes to get rid of the oils from the plant that cause the rashes. Don't touch with bare skin anything that has touched the plants or roots. The oils in the plant and roots is the irritant.

Good luck.

Will Home Depot carry it?

I'd rather kill it with spray than dig it up and have to mess with it.

Take a pocket knife and scrape some of the skin off the vine near the base. Get a q-tip, soak it some pure roundup poison ivy and brush killer and apply it to the exposed part of the vine.

The active ingredient is triclopyr. You can spray or cut vine and paint

My favorite method is to mix Ortho Poison Ivy Tough Brush Killer with Roundup. Mix both at double strength. And be careful, it will kill everything that the wind blows overspray onto as well. If you do it a lot, don't buy Round up at Home Depot. Buy non-branded glyphosate at Tractor Supply. You can get it for a small fraction of the cost but in larger amounts (I think they are two gallon containers).

There are multiple brands that contain Triclopyr (Poison ivy), if the active ingredients are the same concentration then the only differences are in the surfactants. I can't remember which one I have but it has Triclopyr and 2,4-D. I add a glyphosate (roundup) to the mix and a couple heavy squirts of dawn (surfactant).

Don't put more than they recommend, if you do you're paying twice as much for it. Spray wait 2-3 hot/sunny days if it's not showing signs spray again.

For vines and briars a mix of roundup and 24d works great. If you have access a little gramoxone will help speed things up also.

Might be a joke, but I wouldn't go the fire route. Isn't it really bad if you inhale smoke from burning it?
