What's a good price to pay for a skint coon?

Stopped in Port Gipson Landmass while ago and found the folks selling them for 12 bucks a head. Pretty fair price IMO.

I see the sweet taters. Geauxt claims coon and sweet taters are a Union Parish delicacy.

12 bucks? shite, I need to hit the woods. Back in the day when pelts were bring in anywhere from $15 to as much as $27, the meat was bring in $5 for small,$6 Med and $7 for a large. Was very easy to make $300 a night. Then the market crashed.

My neighbor told me I could sell the one I trapped at my house to some guys at a sugarmill he went to for $25.

Fish, I didn't realize the coon market crashed. Didn't really know there was a coon market. Except back in the day of course.
