re: What year jeep would you recommend?

That bronco is more of a money pit than the Jeep, and not nearly as reliable as a semi-daily driver.

How often do you see a lifted Tacoma? How often do you see a lifted Jeep?

I was in a Tacoma-specific off-road club and a couple of us had similar things, but there was not much that was the same from truck to truck. A fair amount of people built their own stuff. Probably 1% of Jeep guys do that

In the probably 10 events that I went on, maybe 2% were seriously built, with 1 in 1000 being crazy custom

with that Bronco, you can just go 302, c5 or th400, 9" and 44, 3" lift, and 35s. Pretty simple and reliable

I agree that a Tacoma would probably be better on pavement, but the Jeep has better suspension for offroad and better axle articulation. I've been trail riding in Tx with both and it's no competition.

Driver ability and picking the right lines helps more than that. With factory lockers, who cares if you get a tire off of the ground anyway?

All. The. Time.
Maybe not the brand new ones as much.

I had a jacked up '98 Tacoma when I was in high school. Jacking up them small trucks are fun. My BIL has a 2007 Tacoma with a small lift as well.

As for the jeeps, you have your rock climbers and your mud boggers. People do things how they want.

That may be true. I work on average 5 states a year so I see a lot of different "lifestyles".

One of the gayest things ever. I rank that right between sucking dick and giving handjobs in truck stop bathrooms

Boats? Yes I own two
Motorcycles? Only dirt bikes. Too busy hanging on for dear life and not trying to skin my arse up to be worried about waving
