I'll go with Hawaii. Tuna, Wahoo and Marlin within a mile off shore. If the continental shelf ended like 100 yds off of SW pass and immediately dove to 3000' and the weather got balmy there too, that would just be the best.

Hard to beat Venice.

I'd pick Florida....being closer to prettier beaches and tarpon. And being able to skip MS and Bama is always a plus.

No other state. Just want Metarie to be on the Gulf so I don't have to drive 2 hours to GI at 3am to fish for mangroves in the summer.

Hawaii year round nice weather and marlin a mile offshore would be nice too.

Colorado. We have plenty of saltwater fishing and hunting here in LA. They bring the snow and mountains.

This. It's a great place to hunt, but that's all. There is nothing else redeeming about the plains.

That's a tough one. Hard to beat what we have in La. And I'm pretty content with our surrounding states. Only thing I wish I could hunt easily would be something like elk in Utah.

How many states not adjacent to La. would want to be?

Why Colorado?

Colorado has the world's largest Elk population by a very wide margin.

I would have to pick Colorado too.

In addition to all the hunting there is world class trout fishing, which is something im into.

Cut out Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, and both Dakotas. Move the Rocky Mountain states next to La and I'm happy. Maybe get Maine closer also.

Mississippi. Cheap land to which which we can easily outbid the locals for lease. Then we can trash it just like we do our own state.

If we could sandwich LA between the panhandle of Nebraska and Colorado, we'd have it made.

ETA: and somehow keep the Gulf.
