I hunt with friends that have their own places, but don't like being a bum all of the time and it would be nice to have a place to go whenever I wanted. Have no idea what a share in a lease costs however. What is average? TIA

Need more details. You're looking at an annual cost of 8 dollars an acre, to 55 dollars an acre. Prices vary on leases but price per acre multiplied by how many acres, divided by how many people will be hunting the land.

$250, $500, $1000, $5000? What do some of you guys pay to be part of hunting club? South LA, Central LA, MS Delta?

Heck, there are some guys that hunt right off of the Bluebonnet extension. Would love to get into that place.......

That's cheap. Around here 2k acres would cost 18 members 2500 to 3500 easily.

I've never bought a share of stock in deer leases, but I imagine it would cost anywhere from 1000 to 3000 dollars.

We've had this lease since the early 90s. In Washington Parish. Decent deer population and some nice racks every year.

The only place I've hunted that was THAT high was on a farm in Natchez, the old man paid 4k per year back when I was in high school.

Anywhere from $300-1k (depending on the number of hunters per acre) in south Arkansas for a typical lease. In areas that have a lot of big deer and are highly managed (like the Mississippi delta) you could pay 5k or more.

If you are talking about a coop buy in the only one I know accurate prices on is Turner Neal near Dumas, AR. The last couple of people to buy in paid over 200k and I believe there is a 2k per year membership fee to pay for plots, upkeep, etc.

I paid 1200 to split 600 between 13 hunters. I also pay 800 to split about 1k acres between 20 guys.

Most clubs around here will run you in the 12-1500 range

Varies a lot by area, seen cheaper places run $500 per gun all the way up to Texas high fence for $6,000 per gun

The 600 acre lease was bad. Got out of it. The other one the land was split up and you rarely had more than half hunting at one time
