Saw this on FB:

Please please share this around St. Tammany, specifically Folsom and Covington. This deer ?? was found in the front of my neighbors property in Folsom yesterday morning. They suspect a big cat did this and I have heard of sightings in the area. Please keep a watch on children and pets.

ISIS has claimed it.

Looks like whatever it was made a snack out of the deer's back half

Im thinking someone took a bad head shot and the deer ran off. Coyotes did the rest.

Looks like coyotes tore it up. Could have been someone trying for a head shot and clipping the neck. Or it could have been Sasquatch.
ETA: Agree with two posts above.

You are aware cats are only other mammals that kill for sport correct?

Bung hole/gut area eaten first is always a coyote

Coyotes at the very least got at it, and likely killed it. Butthole eaten out is a dead giveaway.

There are most definitely coyotes in that area and over to lee rd by barkers corner.
Seen them with my own eyes.

Its a small town surrounded by woods, there are definitely coyotes there. I've seen them blocks away from the LSU campus. They're capable of living anywhere a stray dog can.

That's somewhat of a relief. I hunt St Tammany, most of the time alone. So the thought of a cougar in the woods is a bit unsettling when walking through the woods alone and in the dark with only a bow and knife...especially since there was a supposed cougar trail cam sighting last year on the northshore. Not so worried about being attacked by coyotes.

What kills an animal is not always what eats it.
Looks like coyotes ate it. They may or may not have killed it.

I vote we kick the next person who posts something about a suspected big can in Louisiana out of the OB for a year. All in favor....
