East of the MS

What if he hunts in the 3/4 of the state. Is it still too much IYO?

I really don't understand why people say this. Many many places to hunt where you can shoot for hundreds of yards

I'm really considering a slingshot. Guns and Bows are getting boring.

Guys can shoot a .50 cal semi-auto for all i care but the longest shot i have evertaken on a deer was roughly 200 yards and anything over 250 im prob not shooting at so .270 is my pick. On top of that, i personally have gotten better performance out of the non-belted magnums at my usual ranges.

To each his own. Blast away.

.308 and .30-30. Doesn't really depend on where I hunt, because I hunt 95% of the time in a creek bottom, it depends on which one I take.
