Went to a main engine booster test at Stennis Space Center today.

Figured the OB would appreciate this also...
Bad arse! Only got 3 of the 8 minutes because my damn phone overheated and shut down.

My dad worked for NASA @ Stennis in 69 during the Appolo program. He took me to watch a rocket engine test when I was 6. I remember it to this day. Fire, lots of smoke, & the ground shaking like an earthquake. It was awesome

I went to one 30 years ago. Still remember it.
My dad was telling me how deep the concrete was that held the engine in place. One big chunk of concrete.

I was under the impression that they facility won't tell you the schedule for testing. Did you just happen to get lucky and be there on a test day? Or is there a way to find out when a test will happen?

How did you know the test was scheduled? Is there a published schedule?
