little over 3 months until dove season, and 4 until bow season. Every year between late may and june i start to get excited. Been putting out mineral rocks and cleaning up last years food plots. Just spending time in the woods again is getting me ready, once 4th of july is over im all in for dove and deer season. I fish, and i fish alot, but it comes nowhere close to the thrill of hunting. Anyone else get the itch this early for dove and deer season?

As I was sweating my balls off yesterday washing my wife's car, I started thinking about sitting in the deer stand. So yeah, I am getting the itch.

hahaha i know the feeling, dove season has been warm almost every year. But the past 2 years ive been rather comfortable during bow season, the heat had died down by then.

lol.. yep, it will be here SOON. Im a big dove hunter also so my hunting season begins in early august when we are cutting, disking, and seedint fields every weeknd. Makes that month pass fast, them labor day weekend opens the season and that carries me into october 1 for bow season. My fav time of year.

I think about prime logging season now, and then hunting season when the rain starts in August

Tried to go down to the ranch this weekend to fill the protein feeders and do some varmint shooting to scratch that itch but couldn't even get in. South Texas is literally under water right now.

3 diff fields, 36 acres total. Millet, sunflower and sorghum. I was just there to help make the fields. I want to say they are planting 2 fields and seeding the other one later on closer to season.
