Hunting a small woods field and some hogs waltzed in from a flat. Sow got mounted by Boar #1. Boar #2 mounted Boar #1. Boar #3 mounted Boar #2. Was tempted to shoot all 4 of those nasty spawn of the swamp, but I figured I'd let them all get their piece of arse.
And that damn panther I saw last year. Still mind boggling to this day. My son was with me, and after I spent several hours explaining what we'd seen, I told him to be careful talking about it because people would call him out on it. He's pretty tight lipped about it to this day. That poor kid was in my back pocket walking out of the woods that night.

I had a very large hawk fly through my box stand Windows going full speed. Missed my head by about 3 inches.
Turned around and came and sat on my window opening for about 15 seconds staring me in the eyes. Needless to say I was scared shitless lol
I finally shoo'd him away. It was nuts.

Bubble net feeding by humpback whales. Amazing cooperative feeding technique.
Saw this a few years ago. They were so close when they surfaced that I got sprayed with water. We even heard the matriarch give out her call for them to surface. The boat had a microphone on the underside.
Just seeing a whale in person was a childhood dream come true, and then to have that happen was, and will forever be, one of the most amazing things I will ever encounter.
I will go back again.

came upon an old house out in the woods when I was a kid and it had a horse skeleton on the inside. Sucks to think that the horse got in somehow and couldn't get out and died

Well, you can't just show up with a pink dildo and expect things to go your way.
Gotta be a bit of a charmer, hence the cologne.
I can see you boys need some schoolin' about romance.

Was doing a tandem paragliding flight in Torrey pines California and as we were turning away from the cliff, the pilot who was behind me yells "oh sh!t" and I turn around and there is a falcon of some kind within arms reach. I could have jab punched it and it stayed close to us for a couple second. I guess we got to close to its nest or something and it attacked us. Definitely one of the bigger adrenaline rushes I've ever had.

Was fishing at the dope boat in Black Bay, when something nailed my buddy's bait and I saw a flash a silver out of the corner of my eye. Couple believe it when that six foot Tarpon jumped again. 15 minutes later it was in the boat.

In Jr High, a buddy and I would hunt with bb guns and slingshots in a wooded area near our houses. One day this High school chick comes rolling in followed by a dude (we knew both). We hid in the bushes and watched them do their business. As time went on we watched her bang 4 different guys, some more than once. Some of it was kind of kinky and very educational.

Was on one of those 4-day Chandeleur Island trips out of Gulfport. I liked exploring the northern islands, so I had my buddy drop me off on one of the islands while he went and fished open water with the other boats. I was walking the shoreline in some shallow water and came across a group of hermit crabs - at least 2 or 3 dozen together in one spot.. If you walked around the area, you'd see plenty more hermit crabs walking in toward that spot from every direction. I can only guess that there was a female putting out pheromones or something and males were heading in from all around the area. Or it was one big hermit crab orgy and they all wanted to join the party.

Yeah, our boat has a hydrophone so you can hear the underwater calls.

Before Katrina, when I lived in Lakeview, there was a large oak tree in front of my house between the sidewalk and the street. One night about 9 or 10 I walked outside to get in my car and there were hundreds of large cockroaches scurrying around on the trunk of the tree and hundreds scurrying around on the sidewalk that was adjacent to the tree.
I had always seen a few cockroaches around the tree, but nothing like this. I left and came back a few hours later and they were all gone.

Anytime I see a fish swimming "sideways" now, I know a snake is attached....and NOT to pull it out with a net.

I grew up on Dunson road in Ponchatoula. All my family is still there. Had a family camp on the Tangipahoa, a few camps down from the Watergate. That camp fell years ago but my uncle has a nice camp across the mouth of the Bedico.

I'd have moved out that night. I'll catch a venomous snake bare handed, but the length of a broom is not enough distance between myself and a cockroach - I have to kill them with 25-ft. wasp spray.

A buddy and I got summer jobs in a ceiling tile plant his hometown in north GA. The plant engineer was into caving and we would go with him and some of his buds out to different cave spots after the shift was over and weekends. One had a spring coming out of the mouth that was made into an old baptism pool. Antother served as a speak easy during prohibition. The floor of a room was leveled with concrete about 500 yards from the cave mouth. Bars, holds to hold ice and beer up into the walls behind the bars, and a bandstand were all carved out as well. Early 90s. No pics.
