Went bow fishing for the first time on Friday night in Leeville. As expected, I suck at bow fishing. Was able to go out to Brush Island and another stop just NE of there on Sunday Morning. A little windy but not too bad. Caught about 30 specs and one bull red. Nice weekend all in all.

Fished out of Cocodrie on Saturday and ended up with 47 specks, probably would have caught more, but we ran out of live shrimp. First stop the water was a little dirty and it seemed like nothing but tiny fish. We headed a little further south and found some cleaner water and it was on. Consistent nice sized specks til we ran out of bed. In fact the bait situation became so desperate, on my last live shrimp I caught a trout that had another shrimp in its mouth when I caught him, I grabbed that shrimp out, put him on my hook and caught another trout. We threw artificials, but only picked up a few small fish. I tried cast netting for more shrimp, but didn't have much luck. We ran out to the back side of last island and put a handful more in the boat before calling it a day. When cleaning these fish they were filled to brim with shrimp, some had 20-25's in them, it was crazy.

Bought some of these bad boys on the way home too, so all in all a great day.

Caught about 60 trout, 30 over 12", 2 over 18", and my first Spanish Mackerel. Ending up running out of shrimp and caught a few on the Voo Doo.

Also, this guy wanted some of the action.

I saw the "Fin-Addic" boat unpacking in cocodrie sunday morning on the way to the camp.

WE finished the dock, fixed the generator, the lawnmower, and caught some trout by the ice house with the bass baits we had tied on just for fun. FYI, bigger trout hit spinner baits.

caught about 20 bass and a red or 2 friday.

Went to Hopedale Saturday morning and didn't get a single bite. We were out there from 730-1130. We were set up on the rocks. There were a ton of crabs out so we ended catching about 6 dozen crabs. Very underwhelming day. I did catch a prettty nice sun burn.

We caught 50-60 keepers and a metric shite ton of throw backs Saturday morning in Hopedale. The bite was over around 9 but it was every cast for a while. We were in Bay Eloi without getting too specific.

Smoked the Mangrove, Red Snapper and 3 Cobia on Friday in West Delta. Got checked by 2 different WLF boats, they were cool as could be though.

Took Ms Hunt and Hunt jr to Grand Isle and put 30 nice specs and 5 flounder in the box Friday am and then me and Hunt jr caught 35 Sat am before storms chased us away. Probably threw back just as many smaller ones. Caught them all against the rocks to the left when leaving Bridgeside. If anyone is going this week I would bet they are still there. Start about half way down and work bank towards the gulf. Throw against the rocks and hold on. Live shrimp under cork worked for us but we were also able to pick up a few on artificial when we ran out of bait. Hated to leave!
