Good picture.
Best result I had was getting to see my daughter sing at the La Tech homecoming game, see some old friends, and watch some good football.

Nice!
My weekend resulted in about 24 hours of time and a half. But I have a 5 day weekend coming up.

Saw 1 good buck and the fiancée shot a javelina. Didn't get down there in time to hunt Friday and didn't make it out of bed Sunday morning so pretty unproductive weekend hunting-wise. Still really green down there so the deer aren't interested in the plots or feeders yet.

Friday we caught a few nice 19" trout at The Rocks and at B. Daytoe/Leche then I drove to Arkansas.

Saturday was opening day in Arkansas. After watching a spike at the feeder, things got crazy. A nervous doe scooted through the thicket, followed closely by a nice 8 pt. By the time they cleared the thicket, they were about 140 from my stand in the middle of a furrowed clearcut. I shot and thought I saw him fall. I kept my eyes on the doe and two more bucks showed. I thought they were different/smaller but couldn't get a good look as they chased the doe across the furrows of the clearcut to the little pines. I lost track of where my buck fell. I went looking and he was "nowhere", no blood, nothing to see but clumps and stumps.
So after 10-15 minutes of searching, I'm standing there in the wide open and a six point walks up 50 yards away sniffing toward where the doe went. I'm pissed off about not finding mine, wondering if the 8 pt was one of the two that ran, so pew, pew, pew. He ran 40 yards and died deep in a furrow where he was hard to see. 10 more minutes of searching along each likely furrow and I found the big one.
I'm out of buck tags.

We got the boat off the old trailer and on to the new one and it only took a 12 pack of beer... only to find out I had two bad batteries and then that took another 12
