Weekend Results Thread 7/7 - 7/9 Edition

Saturday: left around lunch to head to Grand Isle, caught a 3 man trout limit from 4:30-7, started on topwaters for about the first 30, when that died switched to live shrimp, then back to topwaters to finish off the last 15 or so. Pretty good afternoon, didn't expect to do that well.
Got up Sunday morning and hit the same area, didn't bother with shrimp this morning. Caught 25 on topwaters again but had to work a little harder for them. Only 25 though because at 8am my dad and brother decided breakfast was more important, I caught 5 in the last 10 minutes before we left. I've revoked their OB cards.

Did well Saturday, got run in Sunday after a very good start.

If the legal size for trout was 11.5 inches then I would've limited out in about 30 minutes

Caught some absolute pigs, white can for size reference.
Got my personal best at right under 5#, several that went 4#, and lost count how many 3#ers. All caught on artificial double rigs, by far some of the best trout fishing I've ever had.

Caught a few bass and some sacaulait at Toledo again. Be back their on Wednesday.

Finally got down to the camp after 2 months of back problems and a minor back surgery. Living room AC unit went out so I had to find one and install it. Got in the boat for a couple hours and came back to a busted pipe. Fixed that right before the wife and daughter got there. Saturday spent several hours in the boat with both of them which is a record for my 3 year old. She even jumped in the water off the boat with me. Was a great day even though I didn't wet a line and was a big step towards her being in the boat more with me. She caught some catfish off the pier and caught frogs in the yard. Fished for a couple hours this morning and got skunked. Spillway is still high but should get right in a week or two. All in all a great weekend with some good memories made.

Got run in a few times yesterday. Ended up with a 2 limit of reds and 30 or so trout.
Today daughter and I had steady topwater bite going but weather got to looking bad and we headed to camp. Headed back out with wife and daughter at 2 bounced around then found mother load. Ever cast a blow up for over 2 hours.
Hitting them again tomorrow and Tuesday.

Went to Leeville Friday morning, boat broke down after 30 mins. All I caught was a gafftop and a case of the redass
