Bought my twin 5 year olds Zevxi 33's for Fathers Day and after handling family obligations was going to take them out to catch some perch and catfish. Unfortunately one of them got sick, so I ended up just taking 1. We had a great time, ended up with 12 freshwater cats, and my daughter missed about a 5# Gaspergou. The bite was on the bottom and being that she is only 5, I was worried she would have a hard time feeling the bite, but she got the hang of it quick and hooked several herself.
I was nervous how long I could keep her attention, especially since I hadn't even casted out once and she was telling me she was bored, she played with the bait worms for a couple minutes, but as soon as the fish started biting she had a blast. In fact she didn't want to leave, and when we got home wouldn't stop telling my wife about the trip. I can't wait to take both of them out next time.
