Rode in the wind both days and dodged the rain.
Watching the weather for next weekend or earlier.

Went out and caught a limit of red snapper out of Venice yesterday. Attempted to kayak fish this morning a little and only caught hardheads.

Threw a frog in the front yard for shits and giggles in the downpour the other day. No bites.

Wind, tide and fast moving water screwed up my day on the kayak. The only thing I caught was a foul hooked minnow. First time I've been skunked in a while.

Also forgot to spray sunblock on at the launch. I tried to spray once I got anchored somewhere and did a horrible job. I have the most jacked up looking sunburn.

Put out two tight lines in the bayou behind the house. Tried ivory soap as suggested on here.

•I give it a 10/10 for staying on the hooks all morning.
•I give it a 0/10 for staying on the hooks all morning and not catching fish.

38 specs, 7 reds. 6 of us fished. Considering the lousy conditions and weather Friday night, I was satisfied with the trip
