Man, I think a spear gun was the only way we were catching red snapper on Monday. I haven't had a day that bad in a long time.

Heading to destin for a week for a much needed vacation. Hopefully do some snapper fishing on the future BIL boat, if not, I will get hammered for 8 days.

Speaking of tarpon, I saw a big bastard jump about 9 miles southeast of Belle Pass on Monday. Definitely the biggest I've ever seen in the wild.

Hey hat, why are all these spear fishing rodeos weigh in always in say New Orleans, Metairie area and not at marinas on the coast?

There will be no tarpon for me this year. Wedding on July 20. I'm not sure if missing this year is a good or a bad thing.
