Delacroix.
Friday - About 50 11" inch trout and two keepers, one red.
Sat fished in a shallow water redfish boat for the first time, very cool experience. Threw a gold spoon in the area east of lake lery. Saw lots of them, hooked one and lost him by the boat.

Caught 4 bass on wacky senkos at American Horse Lake in Geary, OK on Friday.

Beautiful little lake and a gorgeous morning.

Fell out of my damn boat today!! Fishing a small creek off the White River today. Fished up current then decided to float back down. Made it about 100 yards and my trolling motor hit a log. The boat went left, and I went right. Went head first into the water. I was able to get back into the boat pretty easy. My cell was in my pocket. Thank god I have a life proof case. Nothing hurt but my pride. Laughing about it now, but it really could have been much worse.

I don't know if your stringing but, If you go through both lips they'll stay alive for a longer period of time. Nice catch.

I went to my neighbor's lakehouse on Richland-Chambers in TX. I found a group of trees that yielded about 30 perches that have no correct name but averaged about 12" each when no other similar structure produced a fish. Caught several stud bass with one close to 7# on a buzz bait right before dark too.

My phone bit the dust due to an unfortunate accident at the boathouse that may or may not have resulted in my wife taking a spill off the dock while walking and texting. Our employers have insurance on our phones so my enjoyment of the situation was worth any inconvenience because I'm still laughing about it.

Fished Henderson for a couple hours with a friend of mine Saturday afternoon. Caught about a dozen small bass and a few goggle eye on senko and crankbait. I mean small. Probably nothing over 14". Unless you count the gars and choupique we had to fight off. Still had a good time. I'm going back out there Wednesday weather permitting. Hopefully I'll have better luck.

Thanks for the tip. Usually I would but I left my stringer at home and was improvising with a carribiner and bungee cord. It worked in a pinch buy is admittedly not the best option.

Fished a club tourney out of Pier 90. Ran to Bayou Segnette. Caught about 50 fish in all, but most were in the 11" range. Ended up with 2 limits going to the scale though. Hot like a motherf&^ker

Didn't go fishing but did plant the plot behind the house in soybeans and installed an electric fence in a portion that will be opened during the season

Roughly 9000 sq. ft. inside the fence

Took the wife and the boy down to Grand Isle. Woke up at about 7 Saturday morning and made a quick fish before the tide stopped. Caught about 10 nice specks (17-20")in the surf. I ran out of croakers in about an hour. Should have bought more bait but I was okay with what I had. Not many people catching in the surf from what I saw.

Took my niece out for a boat ride on Lake Borgne and she caught her first fish ever. We ended up with three nice reds.

ive only been down twice this year, the past two weekends. never went further than seabreeze and a few miles east of that. haven't gone west at all yet.

hopefully going again this weekends. thoughts on where to go?
think i want to hit the islands.

problem is pops does not like to go far, or troll around to find them. so we end up racking up on undersized fish, and bring little back.

Yeah I did. Mother boarded off of one of the big boats tho. Fished the marsh outside of the butterfly canal and found a decent bit of reds

That's a good thought. No need to head west.

Went of of Coco with the intentions of hitting the back side of the islands and chasing birds, but did not feel like getting rained on, so went behind LUMCON and picked up 2 keeper reds and bunch of small trout .... it was nice to just hang and talk with my pops
