Watch your step fellas - updated with pic

[/img]That time of year again. Y'all may recall that last year I posted pics of two rattlers spotted in our hunting camp. This was one spotted and disposed of today by the property owner. His lab and the snake were about to tangle when it met a pvc pipe followed by a shovel. I don't have a tale of the tape yet, will update when I get the info. This is approximately 50 miles north of Pensacola.

That is correct. Confident they are not the same snakes due to different coloration at the tail area. The dead snake could possibly and hopefully be the one that slithered under the shed last year.

Found a little ribbon snake in my yard a couple weeks ago. I've seen a lot of snakes in my time, but I think this was the first one I've seen in January. Damn global warming.

Yep 86 degrees the other day In texas and I saw several on the lake. Honestly around here there is never a time to not be on the look out.
