a little concerned for tomorrow with the strong tides, the moon is the closest to the earth this weekend, hence the strongest tides of the year.

I fished the surf on grand isle this morning and afternoon....water was ok this morning. Not too bad but still in my opinion too dirty for a good trout bite. It cleared up a lot this afternoon and got that "trout green" color but no trout to be caught unfortunately. Saw a few people catch a couple here and there on live shrimp and plastics under a cork.

thx for the update. i'll save my trip to the back end of the tide range, when it's around 1.2 or so.

4 nice trout on Carolina rigged croakers before 9 am. The water was pretty nice and also the weather. Didn't see anyone else catching.

i wouldn't, you're in the middle of the full moon. shrimp won't be moving, thus the trout that follow them...

We went off shore, talked to several at the landing that wore the trout out.

I have never seen Barataria stay so dirty in all my life. With the loss of all the land masses its nearly impossible to find any clean water. I prolly should have headed east this morning but it was so frickin choppy I went towards Hackberry, Bassa Bassa area. Caught plenty 11.5 trouts and 15 inch redheads. Maybe the fall will be better.

Went out of grand isle. Started off in bay near coup abel, was muddy. So we went to lake washington, water was better but not great but caught fish. Came back into barataria around 9 and fished in area of indapendance, water was nice. Could see trout streakin under water when reeling in. Had improved greatly from the early am.
