The walkway in the front of my house holds an inch or two of water with most rains because the walkway is lower than the yard. Any ideas on how to remedy this?

The walkway wants to drain in the direction of the yellow arrow which is across the driveway. However, the ends are the highest points of the walkway. Also there is a high spot (the circle) on the walk way which is helping to trap the water but isn't a major factor.

Before i installed the flowerbed barrier the water would also back up into the flower bed creating a huge mess of much. Now the water is trapped between the yard and flower bed. Any ideas?

This is what I did on my driveway that holds water in one large spot. It's PVC shower floor drains connected to 2-1/2 inch pipe. I dug a trench for the pipe all the way to the cement curb of the street.

Could you form it up and add a couple inches of concrete?

That was my original thought but since it slopes towards the driveway wouldn't i have to tunnel the drain under the driveway? The road is higher than the yard so I can't send it that way. To send it the opposite way would mean I need to send it up the grade. Just past that tree are my utility and water lines
I thought of adding more concrete which seems to be the easiest but the most money

I had a similar problem with my patio area. I did a trench about 6 inches wide and about 4 inches deep added sand and large river stone to help with the water.
The difference is that this was on one end of my patio (that ended near the yard).

That's the easiest idea. Add some shrubs to the other side of the walkway and dig it out so that its the lowest point. A drain seems like a huge PITA to me and could clog which would be a huge PITA also.

When I added the trench the damn thing just held water, that's why I added the sand and river stones

River stones just fill up with dirt/silt and restrict the flow
