Man thats a hell of a sale. Wonder why such a big sale? I was wanting to replace my 270wsm with a 308 (sick of never seeing ammo on a shelf) but I was just going to use the niko prostaff 3x9x50 off the 270...

Well dont have a rifle to put it on but not going to pass up the deal. Not a big fan of that reticle but it will do.

Yea I was looking at that too, kinda busy. Guess thats not something you can change? Altho I have not looked at it in person...
EDIT: I called...they cant not at this time becasue that XLR reticle is a first focal plane.
I had also read something about some on the dials are 1/2moa clicks and other was 1/4? Someone was saying they had vortex change it so they were all the same as to not get confused in the field.

So This is the prostaff I have will I just be blown away by this Vortex? I mainly just hunt with it...maybe 200 yards max...but wouldnt mind the ability one day to reach out further. Just dont know if its needed at this time, but almost 50% off is enticing.

I havent used this nikon in low light yet but I replaced a pentax light seeker scope that was originally on the gun and that one was no good in low lite. It would never fail as soon as a deer would walk out I couldnt tell what it was through the scope.

I think yall are both looking at a different scope. They do have some for that price but the one being talked about is the FFP xlr reticle version...that is msrp of over 900 on vortexs site.
